If you have never sewn a stitch, this is the class for you!

Beginner

Cross stitch

In this course, you will learn the basics of the timeless and relaxing craft of cross stitch. Whether you’ve never picked up a needle or you’re looking for a refresher, we’ll start with the fundamentals and build your skills as you create your own beautiful cross stitch project. You’ll learn how to select and prepare your fabric, choose and work with embroidery floss, read a cross stitch pattern, and master the basic stitches and techniques you’ll use again and again.

We’ll start with a thorough introduction to the tools and materials used in cross stitch and get you comfortable with holding your fabric, threading your needle, and working your stitches with confidence. Then, we’ll put those skills into practice as we work through a fun beginner-friendly project together. Along the way, your instructor will share tips and techniques to help you develop neat, even stitches and troubleshoot common challenges.

This class is perfect for anyone who has little to no cross stitch experience as well as those who have not stitched in years and need a good refresher. Absolutely no prior experience is required! Come ready to learn, stitch, and discover why so many people find cross stitch to be such a wonderfully relaxing and addictive craft.
